The Afghan Coordination and Logistic Unit (ACLU) is a non-profit, in (255) registration M.O.E, non-governmental
organization dedicated to addressing the diverse humanitarian and development needs of
communities across Afghanistan. Established to respond to the critical challenges faced by
vulnerable populations, ACLU operates with a mission to create sustainable and impactful
solutions that uplift lives and foster resilience.
Our organization specializes in coordinating and delivering essential logistics and services to
some of the most remote and underserved regions of the country. By bridging gaps between
resources and those in need, ACLU ensures timely and effective responses to crises, including
natural disasters, conflicts, and socio-economic hardships.
ACLU operates on the core values of service, transparency, and community empowerment. We
believe in working closely with local stakeholders to design and implement programs that are
both inclusive and sustainable. Our approach prioritizes understanding the unique needs of each
community, ensuring that our interventions align with their priorities and cultural contexts.
Over the years, ACLU has built a strong reputation for its ability to mobilize resources and
expertise efficiently. Our team is comprised of dedicated professionals and volunteers who bring
a wealth of experience and passion to our work. Together, we have implemented initiatives across
sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, livelihoods, and emergency relief.
In times of crisis, ACLU serves as a critical link between donors, government agencies, and affected
populations. We facilitate the transportation and distribution of essential goods, including food,
medical supplies, and shelter materials, to ensure that no community is left behind.
Beyond immediate relief efforts, ACLU is committed to fostering long-term development. Our
programs focus on capacity-building, empowering individuals and communities to become self-
reliant.
Partnership is at the heart of everything we do. ACLU collaborates with a diverse range of
stakeholders, including international organizations, local NGOs, government entities, and
community leaders. These partnerships enable us to pool resources, share expertise, and
maximize the impact of our collective efforts.
Transparency and accountability are central to our operations. ACLU is committed to maintaining
the highest standards of integrity in our financial management, program implementation, and
reporting practices. This dedication ensures that every resource entrusted to us is used effectively
and responsibly.
Our vision is to create a resilient and thriving Afghanistan where every individual has access to
opportunities for growth and prosperity. While the challenges are significant, we remain steadfast
in our belief that meaningful change is possible through collaboration, innovation, and
unwavering commitment.
The Afghan Coordination and Logistic Unit is more than an organization—it is a movement driven
by the hope and determination of the Afghan people. We are proud to stand alongside
communities, working hand-in-hand to overcome obstacles and build a brighter future.
Whether through providing life-saving aid, empowering women and youth, or strengthening local
infrastructure, ACLU remains dedicated to its mission of serving those in need and contributing
to the development of Afghanistan.
The Afghan Coordination and Logistic Unit (ACLU) is a non-profit, non-governmental
organization with a legacy of service dating back to its founding in 1988. In 2005, ACLU re-
registered with Afghanistan’s Ministry of Economy under registration number 255, reaffirming
its dedication to addressing the country’s evolving humanitarian and development challenges.
ACLU was established in response to the critical needs of Afghan communities during a period of
immense hardship. Over the decades, it has expanded its scope and impact, evolving into a trusted
organization that bridges resources and delivers sustainable, community-driven solutions.
ACLU is also proud to be a member of prominent networks such as the Agency Coordinating Body
for Afghan Relief and Development (ACBAR). This membership strengthens its ability to
coordinate efforts, share best practices, and advocate for the needs of Afghanistan’s most
vulnerable populations on national and international platforms.
Through its years of operation, ACLU has implemented over 186 projects that have directly
impacted communities across Afghanistan. These projects have focused on improving livelihoods,
construction of roads and bridges, promoting health and education, and advocating for gender
equality.
